Stop Hunger Now Event Hugh Success !

The Stop Hunger now event held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 was a Hugh success!  The many folks who contributed prepared and packaged 15,000 meals to be shipped out from Charlottesville to hungry families around the globe.  It was a fun, and exciting event.  Jimmy Fortune (formerly of the Statler Brothers) not only helped with packaging meals, but performed a benefit concert that was increadible – far beyond exceptional 🙂

Veteran’s Day

On Sunday, November 14th we will recognize our veterans during the worship service.  The Prayer Shawl Ministry has crafted some beautiful prayer shawls in honor of all our veterans.  These will be handed out (with the help of our children) to each veteran during the service as a remembrance of service and thanks for serving our country.  Our veteran’s have made have made a Hugh sacrifice for our country and for us and we want to be sure they are remembered and honored on this day.
