Worshipping Together

Worshipping Together at Belmont Baptist ChurchSunday morning worship begins at 11:00 a.m.

Worship is crucial to everything that we do here at Belmont. Our discipleship, service, and fellowship all stem from our worship of God. Our service is traditional in nature with the hope of engaging the community as well as touching the individual’s life.

Special services of worship include Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter Sunrise, and a community Thanksgiving service.

We observe communion on the first Sunday of each month. This is open to all people, members and non-members, of all denominations who have professed their faith in Jesus Christ.

Music is vital to our worship at Belmont. Each Sunday music ushers us closer to the presence of God through the gifts of our choirs and our accompanist. We have an adult choir, and a hand-bell choir (“The Belmont Bells”).  The children participate in the adult choir on certain occasions.

The Sanctuary Choir practices on Wednesday evenings from 7:30- 8:45 p.m., and the Belmont Bells rehearse on Sunday morning prior to Sunday School.

Our services air on Charlottesville’s Public Access Channel, Charlottesville Channel 13 each Sunday evening at 10 p.m.. The broadcast that airs is generally delayed by 1 week.

Our beautiful sanctuary is ideal for a wedding. This special service of worship and commitment is available as a service to anyone looking for a beautiful church with a “wide center aisle”.
